You decide how long the stick grows; the soldier trusts your call and marches across. It is a pure test of distance judgment, and a single bad estimate is all it takes to end a run.
How to play Stick Soldier
- Gauge the chasm ahead before you commit, since a stick cannot shrink once it has grown.
- Hold to extend the stick and release the instant it looks right.
- On a good bridge the soldier crosses by himself, and the next gap is waiting.
- A miss in either direction sends him into the chasm, and the crossings you made become your score.
