Red, green, repeat, and never let two cars meet
Somebody has to run the lights at this downtown crossing, and in Traffic Command that somebody is you. Cars arrive from several directions and only stop when their light turns red, so each tap decides who rolls and who waits. A counter tracks the cars still to get through, each one that makes it across earns cash, and every crash costs one of your three hearts.
How to play Traffic Command
- Work out which light controls each lane before the traffic builds up.
- Tap a light to switch it between red and green.
- Let one direction through, then stop it and give the cross street its turn.
- Keep queues from growing too long, since a packed lane is hard to release safely.
- Avoid collisions in the junction, because each crash takes one of your three hearts.

Tips to play better
- Never give a street the green while a car from the other direction is still crossing; wait until the junction is empty.
- Limit each green to a handful of cars, then switch, so no street sits at red for long.
- If a slower vehicle leads a lane, give it extra time to get across before you release the cross traffic.
- Glance back at the lane you just stopped; the longer it waits, the sooner it needs its turn.

What happens if two cars collide in Traffic Command?
You lose one of the three hearts in the top corner, and losing them all ends the level. That is why it pays to hold a red a beat longer rather than send two streets into the junction at once.
Is it better to leave one street green for a long time?
No. Long greens let the other streets back up, and the bigger a queue gets, the harder it is to release without a collision. Short, regular cycles work better.
