Join twin tiles with three lines or fewer
Mahjong Lines is a connect-style mahjong game on a bamboo-forest background. The tiles lie in one flat grid instead of a stacked pyramid, and two matching tiles vanish when a path of at most three straight lines can join them without crossing other tiles. Level 1 starts with eighteen tiles, and the title screen tracks your rank, beginning at Newbie, with a points bar.
How to play Mahjong Lines
- Press LEVEL 1 on the title screen.
- Click a tile, then its twin; both vanish if a path of no more than three straight lines links them.
- Let paths run around the outside of the grid when the inside is crowded.
- Use the hint bulb or the shuffle button at the top when no pair can be joined.
- Clear every tile to finish the level and add to your score.

Tips to play better
- Pairs on the outer edge are often the easiest, because their path can wrap around the grid.
- Look for twins in the same row or column first; a straight line between them counts as one segment.
- Keep the shuffle for a board where no path is possible.

Mahjong Lines FAQ
How is Mahjong Lines different from classic mahjong?
There are no stacked layers. All tiles lie in one grid, and a pair only clears when a path of three lines or fewer can connect it.
Can the path go around the edge of the grid?
Yes. In level 1 the two red dragons cleared with a path that went over the top of the tile between them.
