Line up three festive pieces and watch them vanish
Snowy cliffs, jingle bells, candy canes and grinning elves set the scene on the Christmas Match 3 title screen. On the board, you swap pairs of neighboring holiday pieces to line up three or more of a kind, which clears them and drops new pieces in from above. Well-placed matches can set off chains that clear several lines from a single swap.
How to play Christmas Match 3
- Hit the play button among the snowy cliffs to open the board.
- Click a piece, then click the one directly beside, above or below it to swap the two.
- The swap only goes through if it forms a line of three or more matching pieces, which then disappear.
- Fresh pieces fall into the gaps and may line up new matches on their own, adding to your score.

Tips to play better
- Make matches near the bottom when you can; everything above shifts down and may line up extra matches for you.
- Look for two matching pieces with one odd piece between them, then find a matching piece next to that gap to swap in.
- Before taking the first match you see, check for a swap that builds two lines at once in an L or T shape.

Why won't my two pieces swap?
A swap only counts when it creates a line of at least three identical pieces. If it doesn't, the pieces stay where they are, so try a different pair.
Do chain matches count toward my score?
Yes. When falling pieces form a new line by themselves, that match clears and scores just like one you made directly.
