Read the word, check the ink, answer fast

Kids True Color plays a trick on your brain: a color word such as RED or BLUE appears on screen in colored ink, and you decide whether the word and the ink actually agree. Your eyes want to read the word instead of noticing its color, so even adults slip up. Colored pencils and pink flowers frame the menu, keeping it friendly for young players.

How to play Kids True Color

  1. Read the color word in the middle of the screen.
  2. Notice which ink color the word is printed in.
  3. Answer yes if the word names its own ink color, and no if the two clash.
  4. Keep the right answers coming to build a score that beats your best.

Tips to play better

  • Look at the color before your eyes settle on the letters; softening your focus can help.
  • Name the ink color silently in your head, then compare it with the word.
  • Answer at an even rhythm; snap answers cause more slips than a half-second check.
  • When the word and the ink really do match, the answer can feel too easy; trust it instead of second-guessing yourself.

Kids True Color FAQ

Why is this harder than it looks?

Reading is automatic, so your brain announces the word before it registers the ink. Overriding that habit is the whole challenge, and it gets easier with practice.

What scores does the menu show?

Your best result and your most recent one, so you can tell at a glance if you are improving.
