Read the numbers, colour the squares, reveal the picture
Nonogram is a picture logic puzzle with number clues. Each row and column of the grid has numbers telling you how long the runs of filled squares are, and solving them all reveals a picture. A white-bearded cat sage teaches the basics with tiny examples: a row marked 5 is filled completely, and a row marked 4 with one square already coloured has only one possible answer. A toggle switches between colouring and marking with X.
How to play Nonogram
- Switch the toggle at the bottom to colouring mode.
- Read the numbers beside each row and above each column.
- Colour squares so every row and column matches its clues.
- Mark squares you know are empty with X to keep track.
Controls
| Click / tap a cell | Colour it or mark it with X |
|---|---|
| Toggle button | Switch between colouring and X |
Tips to play better
- Start with rows whose number equals the row length; they are filled completely.
- A clue close to the row length leaves few possible positions, so look for squares every option shares.
- Use X marks on squares that cannot be filled.
