Flip spooky cards and find every matching pair

A red-haired witch, a pumpkin basket with a black cat and a haunted house under a purple moon greet you in Memory Game, a pairs-matching card game with a Halloween look. The cards lie face down, you turn two at a time, and matching pairs count as found. As with the classic card game Concentration, it is quick to learn, gentle enough for kids and good exercise for short-term memory.

How to play Memory Game

  1. Press Play on the menu to lay out the cards face down.
  2. Click or tap a card to flip it, then flip a second one.
  3. If the two pictures match, the pair is found; if not, both cards turn back over.
  4. Keep going until every pair on the board has been matched.

Tips to play better

  • Flip cards in order, row by row, at the start so you build a mental map instead of jumping around.
  • When a mismatch flips back, name each picture and its spot to yourself, like 'cat, top left'.
  • If your first flip shows a picture you have seen before, go straight to its partner instead of exploring.

Memory Game FAQ

How does a turn work in Memory Game?

You flip two cards. A match counts as a found pair, and a mismatch turns both face down again, so the trick is remembering where they were.

Is this memory game too spooky for young kids?

Not really. The Halloween art is cartoonish, with a witch, bats, a spider and a smiling pumpkin, and the matching itself is calm.
