A cowboy, a frontier town and a lot of zombies
Ranger vs Zombies is a side-scrolling shooter set in a Wild West town that the undead have taken over. Your red-haired ranger pushes down the dusty street past wooden shacks, cacti and burning barrels, jumping and firing at green walkers, a bloated purple brute and zombies that swoop in from the sky. Each kill pays out cash, and three skill buttons add special moves on a cooldown.
How to play Ranger vs Zombies
- Push along the street as zombies come at you on foot and from the air.
- Press the rifle button to shoot, and jump to dodge attacks or meet flying zombies head-on.
- Collect the cash that fallen zombies drop and the gold coins hanging over the street.
- Fire off the three skill buttons at the bottom whenever their cooldown has finished.
- Watch the three ranger heads in the corner, which show how many lives you have left.

Tips to play better
- Fire as soon as a zombie appears; the farther away it falls, the safer you are.
- Look up now and then, because flying zombies drop in while you are busy with the walkers.
- Save a skill for the big bloated zombies, whose health bars take far longer to empty.
- Keep an eye on the bullet counter in the top bar so you are never caught short in a crowd.
