The dog flushes them out, you take the shot

In Duck Hunter, a cheerful dog noses through the tall grass of a sunny meadow until a duck bursts out and you have a few shots to hit it before it flaps away. Land enough hits to clear the round, and the next one sends faster, trickier flyers. It is point-and-click aiming at its simplest, with a rising challenge that rewards a steady hand.

How to play Duck Hunter

  1. Wait for the dog to flush a duck out of the grass.
  2. Follow the duck with your cursor and click to fire.
  3. Each round asks for a set number of hits before you can move on.
  4. Miss too many ducks and the game ends; later rounds bring quicker, less predictable birds.

Tips to play better

  • Lead fast ducks a little by aiming where the bird is heading, not where it is now.
  • Let a duck climb clear of the grass before firing; its path is easier to read against open sky.
  • Count your shots, and when you're down to the last one, wait for a steady, clean target.

Duck Hunter FAQ

How do I get through a round of Duck Hunter?

Hit the number of ducks the round asks for. Miss too many and the game ends, so careful shots beat quick ones.

Do the ducks get harder to hit?

Yes. Each new round sends ducks that fly faster and change direction more often, so leading your shots becomes essential.
