A small rocket, a big planet, a limited ammo supply
Space Purge is a side-on space shooter played in front of a huge, glowing Earth. You fly a small white rocket with a red nose and fire pairs of red laser bolts toward the right side of the screen. The bar along the top keeps count of everything that matters: your score, the level, the ammo you have left and how many spare rockets are still waiting.
How to play Space Purge
- Press the round play button on the title screen and get ready for the GO signal.
- Move your rocket around the space in front of Earth to line up shots on whatever comes in from the right.
- Fire in short bursts, because every shot comes out of an ammo supply that starts at 500.
- Clear a level to reach the Level Up panel and its ammo bonus, then carry on into the next one.
- Lose all of your spare rockets and the run is over, with the result shown beside your best score on the title screen.

Tips to play better
- Fire in short, aimed bursts; a missed shot still comes off your ammo count.
- Hang back near Earth on the left so anything coming in from the right has farther to travel.
- Move in short nudges rather than long sweeps; big swings tend to carry you into the next shot.
- Check the ammo and spare-rocket counters whenever things calm down, and play safer when either runs low.

What do the numbers along the top of Space Purge mean?
From left to right they show your score, the current level, the ammo you have left and your spare rockets. Ammo starts at 500 and drops with every shot you fire.
What happens when I clear a level?
A Level Up panel appears with an ammo bonus before the next level starts. Ammo that runs low late in a level is the real danger, so do not waste shots early on.
